When people ask an AI assistant to compare tools, the model looks for pages that already did the comparing. If yours is clear, fair and specific, it becomes a source. If it is a sales page in disguise, it gets ignored.

Start with the question

Use the buyer’s words in the title and the first paragraph, for example “Northstar CRM vs. Pipewise for early-stage startups”. Answer the question in two sentences before anything else.

Use a real table

List the criteria buyers care about: price, setup time, integrations and support. Use plain values, not only checkmarks. Models quote numbers and short facts far more easily than marketing claims.

Be fair about trade-offs

Say where the other option is the better choice. Balanced pages are cited more often, and they build trust with the people who read them too.

Keep it current

Add a “last updated” date and review the page every quarter. Outdated prices and features are a common reason a page stops being cited.
