This policy explains what personal data Cited, Inc. (“Cited”, “we”) collects when you visit this website or use our AI search visibility platform, and how we use it.
What we collect
Information you give us: your name, work email, company website and any message you send through our forms. Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected with privacy-friendly analytics. Account data: if you become a customer, the brands, competitors and prompts you set up in Cited.
How we use it
We use your data to reply to your requests and run your free AI audit, to provide and improve the service, to send product updates you subscribed to, and to keep the service secure. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
AI models and your data
Cited sends the prompts you track to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, and records their answers. We do not include your personal data in these prompts, and we do not use your data to train AI models.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Cited, such as hosting, email, analytics and payments, under contracts that protect it, or when the law requires it.
Retention
We keep form submissions for up to 24 months, and account data for as long as your account is active plus 30 days. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to certain uses. To make a request, contact us through the Contact page. We reply within 30 days.
